Importing needs a manager or the owner
An import writes clients, jobs and invoices into your live database, so it is limited to owners, administrators and managers. Ask one of them to run it - and this is enforced by the database, not just by hiding this page.
Bring your data to SKEDS
Move across from your old system a dataset at a time. Everything is checked before anything is written, and nothing changes until you confirm.
Where is your data coming from?
Pull straight from ServiceM8
In ServiceM8 open Settings > API Keys and create a key that can read customers and jobs, then paste it here. SKEDS uses it for this pull only: the key is not saved anywhere, and nothing in your ServiceM8 account is changed or deleted. Exporting files and choosing them below works too.
Pull straight from Jobber
Press the button and sign in at Jobber to let SKEDS read your clients and job history for this one pull. The sign-in happens at Jobber itself - SKEDS never sees your Jobber password - nothing in your Jobber account is changed or deleted, and the permission is handed back as soon as the pull finishes. Exporting files and choosing them below works too.
What would you like to bring across?
Pick a dataset, then choose the file you exported for it. Order does not matter here - SKEDS imports them in the order that keeps the relationships intact.
Match your columns to SKEDS
SKEDS has guessed from your column headings. Change anything that is wrong, and set anything you do not want to Ignore. Fields marked * have to be filled in.
What will happen
Counted by the database over every row you uploaded - not estimated from the first few.
Importing
What this dataset needs
The columns SKEDS looks for, and the headings it recognises automatically. Straight out of the importer - if it is listed here, it works.
